So you want to replace your standard brake discs. OE motorcycle brake discs work remarkably well considering their mass-produced manufacturing process but these are technically semi-floaters as the outer SS blade is nearly bolted solid to the carrier via the stamped stainless steel rivets.
The good news is that aftermarket discs are usually lighter, grippier and true full-floaters, this allows them to self-center in the caliper for reduced brake drag and "float" and allows the disc to expand without warping in high-temperature situations. The only down side is a bit of rattle to remind you they are indeed full floaters. All World Superbike, GP machines and the like unanimously have full-floating brake discs.
