Dynojet - Power Commander (PCV) Kawasaki ZX10R

Power Commander V fuel injection and adjustment unit.

The Power Commander is a fuel injection and adjustment unit that plugs "inline" with the bikes’ stock ECU (electronic control unit). The Power Commander uses original equipment style connectors so that no splicing or cutting of the harness is required. Its light weight and simple installation take less than 15 minutes, some as little as 5 minutes. Removing the Power Commander returns the bike to its previous stock condition.

The Power Commander V (PCV) is the latest in engine control technology from Dynojet. The PCV is very compact, yet offers expanded features and options, with tremendous control over your engine management system.

Power Commander V features -

  • Reduced size (less than half of the size of PCIII). Installing the unit is now much easier.
  • USB powered from computer (9 volt adapter is no longer needed for programming)
  • 2 position map switching function built in (map switch not included). You can add any SPST switch (this is a simple open/closed style switch) and toggle between two different fuel/timing maps. One could be for power and the other fuel economy. You might also have a high octane and low octane map (with different ignition timing settings).
  • Gear/Speed input (allows for map adjustment based on gear and speed)
  • Analog input (allows user to install any 0-5 volt sensor and build an adjustment table based on its input such as boost or temperature)
  • With gear position input connected the PCV is capable of allowing each cylinder to be mapped individually and for each gear. (for example: on a 4 cylinder bike with a six speed transmission there could be up to 24 seperate fuel tables). This would allow richer maps in lower gears for more power and leaner maps in the upper gears for better highway fuel economy.
  • Unit has a -100 / +250% fuel change range (up from -100 / +100% on PCIIIusb). This allows more adjustment range for 8 injector sportbikes.
  • User definable map break points, upto 96 x 96 break points (10 throttle position columns as standard up from 9 on PCIIIusb). More tuning ranges than PCIIIusb.
  • Operates with Dynojet LCD display and Dynojet Quickshifter.
  • Enhanced “accel pump” utility (increased adjustment and sensitivity ranges)

Maximum results in the minimum time provide: Crisper throttle response, increased horsepower & optimum fuel consumption. There is a huge selection of maps available to download from www.powercommander.com to suit various exhaust systems / air filters etc. Although for the very best results we would recommend a custom mapping session on a load control dyno.
